Each year when I walk into my classroom after that long summer off I always get the urge to purge! Like- start all over- take everything off the walls- new borders- new bins- new color scheme. Anyone else?
When setting up my classroom last year, I wanted to keep it simple yet colorful. The first thing I made was this classroom mood board to get a feel for the design and style I wanted.
Then, I went to work on the alphabet. I didn't want anything too bright or bold. Just some simple muted tones. I had so much fun starting from scratch and actually creating the perfect product to make a statement in my classroom. When I tell you it made a statement, I mean it! Every time I walked into my classroom, I instantly felt like it was more put together. It was bright and light but still colorful. I love it so much!
This Simple Modern Alphabet was the perfect place to start when decorating my classroom. You can grab yours, too by heading to my TpT store or clicking on any of the links in this post.
